Key dates

  1. No-excuse in-person absentee voting

    Tuesday, October 20 to Monday, November 2, 2026

    Any registered voter can vote absentee in person without an excuse during these two weeks, at a location set by the local election authority. Bring an acceptable photo ID. Locations and hours vary by county, and the last day ends at 5 p.m.

  2. Absentee ballot by mail request deadline

    Received by your local election authority by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026

    This deadline covers requests sent by mail, fax, or email. Voting absentee by mail requires one of the excuses allowed by state law, and your completed ballot must be received by your local election authority by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

  3. Election Day poll hours

    Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    If you are in line at 7 p.m., you can still vote. Bring an acceptable photo ID; registered voters without one can cast a provisional ballot.
